Kanhaiya Mukhiya, a man in his mid twenties is a seasoned thief and the eldest son to his alcoholic & gamble addict father.Since childhood, he has been a movie buff and a fan of Amitabh Bachchan. He best knows life to be filled with struggle & hardships, yet he finds joy in little things. Nobody in his family knows that he is a thief and Kanhaiya simply does it for the thrill of it. It is a usual day in Kanhaiya’s life wherein his drunk father indulges in day drinking while watching tv and Kanhaiya does the household chores. By night, Kanhaiya goes about to steal, wearing his pop colour mask, worn out shoes and untidy clothes. However, this one night, Kanhiaya ends up having an experience of a lifetime. He jumps into the premises of a posh, chic building as usual. He dodges all guards and CCTV cameras to find some valuables he can take away. Soon he realises that he has entered a film studio and his excitement peaks when he stumbles upon a huge tinted picture of Amitabh Bachchan. Kanhaiya is in complete awe of his discovery and gives in to his passion and love for cinema and largely for his favorite actor. Kanhaiya runs away from the guards towards an isolated passage and breaks into the character of “Don”. He dances, mimics dialogues, plays around, completely forgetting why he was here in the first place. Right then, he is caught by a man who confuses him to be a junior artist and drags him to the set. Kanhaiya spends a fair share of his time under the spotlight and is thrilled to know that even within the film, he is supposed to be a thief, stealing away the actress’s purse. Kanhaiya thoroughly enjoys himself and at the time of the take. Kanhaiya steals away the purse, as instructed by the AD however, does not stop when he hears “Cut”. With a huge smile on his face, Kanhaiya clutches the purse and escapes the set,feeling like a hero fulfilling all his dreams.
